Well...i need saving apparently

I received an email last week, asking if i would be willing to help in consulting with a book by answering some questions, it was rather long winded, i replied politely declining that i didnt think for personal reasons i was suitable...based on this

"I would like to write a book that causes women to see that they can have working lives, rich in sex and love with men who don't make them cry."

and

"I want to disclose how/why women feel that it's okay for the man they love to hit them.

This whole business is sick. I want to write a book that causes people to realize that love, not physical pain inflicted by someone who's job is supposed to be the protector, is the right idea.
I only want to attack the beatings; I have no problem with sex, maybe you've noticed!, sex is a really good gift from God.
So what I need to some understanding about what women are feeling, why they tolerate, even why they want physical pain.

I'm old now. In college, I had taken a new girl-friend to my apartment, asked for sex, and she told me she'd do as I wanted if I hand-cuffed her and she had no choice. (frankly, she practically had an orgasm when she thought I was going to do as she asked.)
But this idea sickened me, (I had thought of making tie cords from lamp cords.) Instead I decided to take her home immediately."

But what made me chuckle is

"Of course, you seem to have worked very hard to reverse pleasure and pain for yourself. Your body can't invert physical pain but you have switched how you interpret what you feel, ie., what it means to you. I can't change you. Nor can you do much either.

I can't do anything. My suggestion, I know you have not asked for anything from me, is that you find a Bible, you can read them online, and read some Psalms. Also Proverbs.

And, of course, pray."

So you can see why i declined!

  1. tori,

Ironically, much of the Bible is about prophets and other people suffering pain to please their Master. The Lives of the Saints is a book about people who tortured their bodies with flogging, hair shirts, etc. to please their Master. For centuries, the penance after a confession involved corporal punishment. Remember the movie, Becket, when Peter O'Toole is whipped for his sins.

Dan Brown, in the new book Inferno commented. The sex life for millions of people is determined by celibate men in their 80's. Of course, many of these men were not celibate despite preaching to their followers about sex.

This is a bit of a rant. I have thought about this a lot having had years and years of education in Catholic schools where I was abused by religious educators who felt they were given that right by the Bible.

    Big Hug,

    1. Wow joey

Thanks, i hadnt thought of it from this angle..it certainly has got me thinking, i think many people (and i admit im sceptical of religon in all its forms) tend to be hypocrticial they pick out bits and pieces from the bible/scripture that suits them and their purpose.

  2. Ooh, feel the love.

    *Pouts around and whines
No one seems to wanna save me!

Ironically, I don't have to be handcuffed to have sex...Maybe he's extremely unattractive, and that was the only way she could talk herself into it...?

  3. Thanks Joey, you worded that much better than the rant I had in mind!

For the life of me, I cannot understand how people think getting a pedicure is a positive experience. To me, it is sheer torture! I will never ever do it again! The soaking, rubbing the legs, scrubbing the feet… Yuck! When I walk past the nail place at the mall, I literally get shivers down my spine. To each his own. If it makes someone happy, who am I to judge? Or write a book...

But agree with you...each to their own..as long as we are all happy that should be all that matters.

  4. I don't get how some people can be so judgmental. I'm glad you turned down the request for answering questions for the book.

  5. LOL I recently didn't bother replying an email that started with

"do you like being struck? " it went on to say that the owner of the email was writing a book and wanted to get interviewees opinions on what makes them tick re: spanking / bondage and everything else bdsm.

i thought it was rudely worded, and BIKSS thought so too, so we ignored it.

    pfft.
