Hoods 'r' us

Spent last night looking for new hoods and browsing Fetlife.

I love being hooded, Master doesnt mind them, he often indulges me by letting me wear one at times, but they are definitely something i love more than he does....he likes having access to my mouth, and to see my eyes...but there is compromise, some hoods dont cover the mouth and eyes, or have detachable parts....personally i prefer full coverage.

Narrowed my selection down to these 2..

I love this watersports one, 2 of my favourite things combined, and it has open mouth and eyes so win-win for both of us.

This one appealed, if only because the advertising tag made me laugh "This piece keeps the mouth firmly closed and stop's your submissive's incessant complaining".....like i complain! :) or another way of looking at is...it would stop me from saying exactly what im thinking at times!

I like the head harness part, we have a head harness with nose hooks, but im liking the mouth cover on this, and i like having the ring on top, allows for more opportunities.

I love being hooded for various reasons, they objectify me, as soon as one is on i get into the headspace of just 'being' very quickly, they are calming, although i have had moments of panic, so if one hasnt worn them before i would recommend one that can be removed very quickly to start with.

They highlight the other senses, touch most especially, it just intensifies everything else, especially with a full hood, when one's sight, hearing, and voice is removed, i either go 2 ways....one it induces fear or i go into subspace...either way i love.

  1. Hi Tori, I haven't tried hoods so these look a tad scary to me lol. The blurb for the second one made me laugh. Hope you find one that works for both of you.

  2. Never thought of that, I think I would panic as well, but I also thought that of breath control and it calmed me greatly

  3. Sounds like wearing the hood is a good experience for you. How often are you hooded?

    1. I do enjoy them a lot FD.

Generally they are used during bdsm activites, so it varies, it can be a few times a week, or it can be weeks before he will allow me to wear one...if i had my way it would be everyday at certain times.

  4. The same thing happens when we use them, it's either very calming or there is a panic attack, although the latter tends to happen less now.

It's always rewarding to get past the panicking and into a calm space, IF it happens. Nose hooks though, definitely a room 101 think for sure.

    1. Its odd because i tend to panic at silly things, but yet when its more intense i tend to sink into sub space quite quickly, im wondering if the panic is more likely to happen because im simply not in a receptive mood..dunno.

Ahh yes the calm space is lovely....nose hook one....i was not too thrilled at that myself, but i do like how it humiliates me!

  7. Tori,

Hoods are not something we have tried. I think for me, it would trigger a full on panic attack. I know that I love giving up control to Jim, but the hood is scary looking to me. Maybe, later I will learn to not panic when my face is covered. Odd though, that I can be told to do things and have no control of my body with Jim, but the thought of a hood...

    1. Yes they can be scary, and one has to consider potential panic attacks, i still have moments of panic.

But i do love them, more for the objectification/breath play angle.
